Thanks Keith -- mind you it was mildly interesting seeing all my old topics after so many years...
Perhaps you could implement a Captcha (random characters displayed in a distorted image) to prevent automated posting? |

Hi
Due to the hideous number of spammers at the moment I have disallowed posting as guests for a while.
Going to sort out a mod to allow it but with a confirmation screen of some kind.
All the best

Mixsynth,
Hi thankyou for your feedback, we are working on ways to stop these morons from posting stuff we have absolutely no interest in.

...And, ironically enough, I wasn't logged in when I posted... |

Hi guys (and moderator in particular!)
It's been a while since I've been on this board, but I was surprised to be notified of a reply to a post I made here 3 years ago!
It appears a phpBB spambot (there's lots of them these days) has discovered this site and is abusing the ability to post without being registered.
I'd suggest the easiest way to stop this is to limit posting rights to registered members only...? |
