Alex also mentioned
Hagerty, they specialise in classic & rare cars. Quoted him £148 FC on his 16V SW with limited miles. Im not sure if they will do cover for engine mods that i want to do.

I've actually just changed to Chris Knott Insurance Alan, did me a bloody good deal on both my 33 sw and the 155. If you contact the AROC ins company from the mag it will automatically go through Chris Knott.

Hi Alan, i agree with the above 2 comments, i'm with Adrian Flux, i pay £545 fully comp on my 155 with a few mods but that also covers me fully comp on my 33 sw. (although i have a limit on the mialage with the 33)

Hi Al,

Adrian Flux might be worth a go- they do my Dad's Minari pretty cheap.

One drawback of classic policies is that they usually don't have NCB involved, so after 2 years 'on file' you've lost your full NCB unless you can use it on another separate car/policy.

Are you going up to Stanford Hall on Sunday?

Yeah what John said, I pay 30 quid less than you at the mo Al and my list of mods is enormous.!

Hi Al

Try Footman James 0845 4584271,

I have always found them very reasonable in the past.

Hey guys, my insurance is due in 3 months and I would like some help with whom to go with.
Currently my insurance is about £380 fully comp, with my modifications, without the modifications it would be £200, it also allows my to drive other peoples cars. I have maximum no claims protected bonus, which allows up to 3 claims a year without affecting the no claims bonus.
I wish to change because I want to do engine modifications, of which my car currently has none and my insurance wouldn’t cover anyway.
I would like to ditch the plenum chamber and AFM for a cheap Alpha-N setup.
I do limited mileage, only have one car and would like agreed value.
My problem is because I don’t have another car, so sometimes classic insurance doesn’t cover.

Thanks for any suggestions in advance.
