On arrival at the gate where you came in off the road there was a marshall who asked "is this an Alfa Romeo?" I replied "of course" looked skywards and continued on my way.
Not 10 minutes before that the main convoy of 33s had gone right past him

doesn't surprise me Rolling Eyes

I had a lady marshall take one disdainful look at the Fiat GP we were in and tell me to go to the lesser overspill section, which on reflection was correct Laughing

Do you think it'll be at the same venue next year? The museum is a great venue. Interesting to see how Basildon Park (NAD) works out as a venue.

I enjoyed the day, good turn out, nice to meet people face to face, your comments crack me up as usual.
My pics didn't turn out as well as I hoped, Paul didn't move to his right far enough or quick enough:( None of them have cars in them, by the time I went to take some pics, people had started to leave, time realy flew by.
Thanks J.C, whatever made you think my car was a no goer?? Smile

Really good event, well worth the 400 mile round trip i did to make it. Was good to see Nnamdi's car there now all happy in it's new 16v image, i dragged my mate along with his red 16v too (cant see his car but it's behind mine), was his first event & wont be his last, he loved the day. Always brings a smile to my face being on the same road as other 33's, so our little "race" involving about 5 fellow 33'ers was great!!
That yellow V8 Sud was great, although 3 miles outside the event on the way home it broke down & was being towed onto a truck when i passed it.

Oh that's mine and it's actually graphite grey (I'm told). I call it dark metallic grey.

The green IE belongs to Keith Bagley. He bought it as a back-up to his Spider, but has since decided that he actually really likes driving it.

Excellent pics, thanks.

I'm liking the series 3 in silver and green, both nice looking cars, apart from the wheels that could be my car between.

These made me even more determined to come to the next event. I looked it up and saw the NAD is near Reading this year. Excellent I thought, barely an hour a way.

What's the date, b#gger, we're away!

The silver S3 33 belongs to BigAl. Can't remember who owns the green one. Didn't quite get what you are saying about the wheels tho.

Sorry guys! Didn't take my camera.

However, it was a great day out! We easily got 20 - 25 Boxers there plus another 5 or 6 Minaris. Eddie's bright yellow V8 Sud was amazing! The sheer effort and quality of workmanship has to be applauded - nice guy too.

Iain's wide arch 33 always puts a smile on my face, be it in pictures or in the metal. Love the acceleration it achieves. Him and Eddie gave us a demonstration of that. I thought the beautiful white Porshe GT3 that passed our convoy on the motorway might kick off a high power race but Mr Porka was of the sensible variety - nothing happened. Shame.

Alex's sportswagon looked really good too. He managed to disrupt the convoy by kicking off a mini race - good fun but c**p for saving fuel.

Thanks to Al and Paul H for sorting out my radiator expansion tank. I'll flush out the system this week. And yes, Al should have a piccie or two of his mememories of SAD. Ask him to show it ya! AL33NUT (Nnamdi)
