| If that's the case Al then simply rewire the exciter wire via the ignition switch with an in line fuse. Something is clearly breaking down in the original part of the loom. | |

| Have you had a look inside the solenoid? Not sure you can dismantle on the 33 but if you're getting 12v on the exciter then maybe that tends to a solenoid problem?
Maybe also an amperage problem? ... |

| I'd go with what Dick says Al. Replace that wiring. Even if it doesn't solve the problem it's going to stop you having a mahoosive fire where your beloved 33 once stood. | |

Re the fuel line. Could you soften the end with boiling water? I have a wooden cone I use for stretching such pipes. |
