Very Happy MY Alfa Sprint 1.7 16v project has come to an end finally!!!! and was well worth the effort . the car drives and handles great, torqe steer is much improved by using the multivalve engine because it has less torqe than the 8v at the bottom end but when above 3000 it comes alive in a big way Shocked .the car is producing 148 bhp on the dyno and it certanly feels and sounds like it . standard 1.78v carbs are fitted, and the standard air box and carb linkages have to be shortened by approx 25mm ,this setup still allows the intake of cold air to the carbs. Ignition is controlled by an ecu(MEGA JOLT) the wasted spark. you need a small throttle position switch on one carb(ford fiesta 1.1), and a 36-1 toothed wheel for the crank sensor mounted to the front pulley and a coil pack and leads from the ford kak sorry ka,and also an edis4 controller (fiesta 1.1)the ignition system excluding laptop cost less than a new distributor!! and can be mapped exactly to match your mods or future mods. and is easy to fit.
if you take yor time.

I hope this info will be helpfull to people ,ive tested it and it works well, very well.

Impressive! Really like the idea of carbs on a 16v, just imagine it would drink fuel. Is this the case?

I want it too!!

That open door pic has just sent many fond memories of my Sprint flooding back. Sold it in 1994- regretted it the moment the buyer pulled off the drive.
