Hi

Anyone know anything about this car from a Youtube video?

Says its a 33 with a V6. Bit of dashboard you see at the start looks like a 164 dashboard.

All the best

Keith

It's a 164 with a 33 bodyshell stuck over the top of it, with really flared guards because the 164 has a much wider track!

wow thats awesome, seen those vids on youtube before.

What I wouldnt do to have a blast round those roads Cool , although (and im going to be controversial here!) id rather do it in my 155 than my 33 Embarassed just doesnt feel as tight and responsive.

I`ll go get my flame suit on Laughing

Hi

For me it is the opposite. 155 is too large and soggy with not enough feel in the steering and brakes.

Comfy seats and a large boot though.

All the best

Keith

This may not be a 33 in the true sense of the word but I think it embodies everything Alfa.
I wish I had a tenth of this guys ingenuity and ability.
Hats off to him. Absolutely brilliant.

Id agree to a point, the wide body 155 are way better than slim models, the lower wider track makes a vast improvement, be interesting to drive a 33 with a quick rack, as its wierd going from one car to the other.

Although if were talking P4 and Q4 of each version then that would be way different, LOL, not having driven either I can only guess.

Both the 155s we have had were / are wide body ones. Both 2L models, one with the larger wheels (so you buckled a wheel driving over an ant in the road), current one with the 15" wheels.

All the best

When I was earning silly money, i toyed with the idea of copying giocattolo, a v6 rwd sprint, but in my 33 Smile

Now use a holden twinturbo v8, 800 - 100 bhp!!!

I only know of one that had turbos added (post production). Unfortunately it came to an untimely end a few years back at Eastern Creek.

Yea it was called the judge. The web site for that car, among other cars, seems to be closed now Sad http://www.twinturbov8.com/index.html that’s where I first read about it and thought hmmm 33, rear mounted engine hmmm Smile
I heard rumours that it was drag racing and that the organisers decided to race the opposite way, the driver of the judge couldn’t stop as it was wet and crashed in to the wall, is this true?

It was a drag meet of sorts, they were going the opposite direction to the what was the normal direction for drags (although correct direction for circuit racing) and the car slammed into the Christmas tree and then the concrete wall.

That was a quick responce.
It was a sad day when that happened, 1 for the driver and 2 for the car.
Thanks for clearing up the rumour.
Still id love one of your holden v8's in my lil 33 Laughing

How long you had a 33 for Lee?????
Didn't they shorten the chassis on the 33 V6 to make it fit? Wonder what it handles like. And that judge....

155s and 33s vary so much from car to car i find it hard to generalise, some 33s are better than some 155s and vice versa. So i'd like to drive those roads in all the cars in question to compare them Wink

Hey Marc how ya doing Wink bought a 33 on ebay a few weeks back just as my work hack, saving the 155 for weekends only.

33 more fun for racing home from work, and much lighter too.

Lol! Have only been skimming the forums due to time contraints so missed it, but will have a look, can't be that many threads that feature '33' over there Wink
