I have no clue but every time I turn steering wheel to the right full lock my clutch pedal backs up 1cm. LHD P4.
Before replacement of clutch slave cyl and clutch disc/plate/bearing kit with new ones all worked.
There is no visible:
- connection between steering rack and clutch slave cyl or hose runing to it.
- things on steering prop inside car and behind carpet.

Don't you love Alfas even after 11years of driving and fidling on it it still manages to suprisse me Smile

p.s. This will probably should go into funnies section after I find out whats real prob uless it's something serious like split chasis.

Very strange. Think Pauls idea might be about the only plausable explanation.

By the way, do you mean with the clutch pedal fully depressed?

Yes I ment with clutch fully pressed. I also though it might be engine moving but no.
Clutch fork was touching one of linkage rods from rack to wheels.
Mechanic took some metal off fork problematic place and now is all ok.

Since it is new clutch kit and new clutch slave cyl it is hard to point whos to blame.
- fork that is not so straight any more
- clutch slave cyl has bit more travel then original
- clutch kit parts plate, bearing that is bit smaller/more flexible so fork falls in deeper then all previous
- or some chasis failure that lead to it.

Is the clutch fork properly in position? What I mean is has it come off the pin it mounts on.

No it hasn't come off because it can't. After 2 broken pins and big egg shape hole in center of fork mechanics have modified pin on it. Size 10 hex screw holds fork in place. I'm not very fond of that solution but it works.

From what I've learned from past 11y of owning Alfa is that there are plenty of places which could have been stronger, bigger,better but usualy it was factory programed week point so you would pay lower price to fix that then some not as often but much more expencive part.
