Hi guys,
My name's Tom, I'm 17 and from Wellington, New Zealand. I'm about to buy a 1986 Alfa 33 1.5 QV from a good mate for $1000NZD. It's pretty straight with very little rust ( a couple of tiny patches under the driver's door) as it has just had some removed from the boot. It's done 140,000km and is top-notch mechanically. Hopefully it will be a good first car, and I can't say no to a price as cheap as that! Razz

I'm into driving which I think has been passed down from my parents who have always had decent cars. Mum has said that the reason she first went out with my Dad was because he had a brand-new Alfa 33 1.7 in 1988, so I think I have a lot to thank Alfa for! Laughing Mum at the time owned a Fiat Ritmo Abarth from new, so I'm sure their garage looked impressive Razz

I'm looking forward to being a member and I'm sure I'll learn a lot!

And I assume New Zealand has some great roads to drive it on?

Oh yes. Summer's coming so I can see some good drives coming up! There are probably 5 different quiet hillclimb roads within about a 30 minute drive from my house.

Thanks Johnboy! I like what you've done with yours, the kit proves a 33 can be a good alternative to the hundreds of Civics/ Lancer GSRs we have here.

Ello zktom, welcome to the site, Johnboy's car like mine has the Veloce kit which was fitted by Alfa UK way back and was an optional extra Cool There were 2 variations of this kit but I don't know who did which (think it was lester and zender). If you want to get hold of them try uk e-bay or Alex 33bits is his username he keeps a stash of parts for us! Laughing
