I am after some 15" 6.5J ET39 wheels for racing, I will be fitting 195 50 15 race tyres.

I have 2 choices;

1 use my current TSW Evo

with race tyres and buy some new wheels and put the road tyres on them.

2 get some other wheels and fit the race tyres to them.

Hi Iain,
I need some race tyres, so would you sell the rims if they are 6.5j with ET39?

Here's an idea. I race a 16v Alfa 33 on the mandated Toyo R888 tyres. After my 14" tyres wore out, I found that the cheapest 888 tyre was a 195/50.15 as used byour sister championship PBMW. I then switched the Alfa onto a set of the standard BMW E30 BBS 15"x 7J 4-hole wheels. These are not only superb wheels but are readily available secondhand.The other big advantage is the reduced neg offset at ET24, increasing the track nicely and even with a 10mm spacers(needed to clear the calipers) the wheels still sits inside the wheel arch - just! The wheel arch lip needs returning.If you are going racing, I would suggest that the last thing you need is more neg offset than standard! As the PCD of BMW wheel is 100mm and the Alfa is 98mm, you need to fit a set of "wobbly" wheel bolts - which I have used for over 2 years now and never had a moments trouble. The centre hub diameters are more or less the same - the BMW hub is very slightly smaller so they may need a very minor tweek.

Thanks Richard.
I picked up some used Toyo Proxes R888 funnily enough Smile
I think the standard offset is 39, which is what im after Smile
I have 7J's on mine ATM with a 35 offset, I will find out if they foul the wheel arch with 4mm spacers, they originally had 5mm universal spacers Smile which I took off.

Thanks for the suggestion though, still looking for wheels Smile
