[The Wombat]

The series 3 16v has a little christmas tree of vacuum hoses under the plenum. 4 are attached to the throttle bodies, one goes to the fuel rail pressure releif valve, and the last one disappears through the N/S inner wing.

The question, where does the pipe that goes through the inner wing go?

My red 16v has it all connected which is how I traced it, through the wheel arch, but no idea where it goes from there. The green SW its disconnected and blanked off in the engine bay.

Any help appreciated.

I think that's going to the emissions canister (carbon filled??) which just stops it going directly to air.

That would make sense.

From what Dee said (previous green SW owner), I suspect the canister is missing as he could not find anywhere to plug it so to speak!!

I’d be curious about this too, especially since you’ve actually traced the hose through the wheel arch on the red 16v. The fact that it’s blanked off on the green SW makes me wonder if it’s part of a system that was deleted or rerouted on some cars. Hopefully someone with the same Series 3 16v can confirm exactly where that pipe ends up. mojabet casino
