Hi Folks

Due to having cut and discarded my old brake lines, does anyone know the length of the 2 brake lines that run under the car? I intend to make them up off the roll and bend to shape as I install, but obviously due to the twisty, winding route the pipes take it makes it bamn near impossible to measure.

Many thanks in advance

Sorry - 1988 Sprint 1.7, rear drum brakes Question

For future reference you should remove the old pipes as carefully as you can and bend the new pipe whilst taping it to the old model.

I normally take the old ones to a pro to get them renewed. Saves a lot of hassle. They can normally do them while you wait and you get the two pipes(old and new) back taped together. They don't cost a fortune either.

I have been making my own as of the past weekend for my rear disc conversion, I found it quite easy to make and there is plenty of guides on youtube to help. Still yet to test them though, will do that over the weekend. A good tip is only use brake fluid to lubricate the ends of the die and tubing when you make them off.

Thank you so much for this - appreciate it. Will make up to 245 and allow for a bit of bend room I think.. That'll be another wee job ticked off tomorrow night.
