Hi,

There's a locking ring inside which is a pain to remove (unscrew)
I had to make a tool out of a discarded bearing race to get a correct grip on the ring.
There's a few pictures on Gritstop's website.

regards,
zp

I removed mine 3 months ago, it was a pain but managed to use a piece of timber and a hammer , wear goggles as the muck that falls down will get everywhere. Oh and soak it in lots of WD40.

That's how I did mine. Needed the shock treatment of a precise whack to undo.

Thanks for all this. Used a different easy method.
Sprayed area with WD40
Jacked up back of car with a scissor jack.
Placed a long piece of wood on the ground at one end and the other onto one of the backing ring protrusions. Then slowly lowered the car and the weight of the car rotated the ring. Nice and easy.

So I won't be showing anyone on here my tool. Shocked

Thanks for all your help.

Used this method very successfully a couple more times. Even managed to reuse the sprung clamps on the completely intact rubber tubing. Work all done and the panel looks great now.
