Hi!
I finished assembling the engine on my series 2 1.7 QV .
I'm currently having a problem :
When i start it, cold, it starts faster then the 156 .
It keeps running as smooth as it can be not fully tunned yet, but as it gets hotter, it doesnt over heat, it starts making a tec-tec noise, diferent from the tic-tic from the hidraulic tappets .
It has new everything, including oil filters, etc...
What could it be ?
Any ideas ? _________________ Carpe diem!!

How loud is the noise as well?
I know most cars make a tec-tec sound when cooling down after they are warmed up - where all of the parts are contracting. |

Recommend you check plugs are tight and that there's no blowing from the exhaust manifold gasket area. I take it you're not talking about the popping on deceleration which is normal. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV
