Hi,
I was wondering what would be the best way to clean the carpet of the car. And when I mean cleaning I don't mean hoovering ... using detergents or soap solvents in order to taker out the bad odours that have accumulated over the years.
Any help appreciated.

i get a box of washing power and tip it right on the carpet. get it wet and scrub till its all nice and clean and smelling nice.
the you have to hover up the mess and let it dry.i sometimes use a fan heater to help it out. not sure if this is a good idea on the 33 tho. they dont like getting wet too much as they rust easy. spose the carpet is plastic backed.

Hi...
Dont get them wet inside the car... Unless the air temperature is 30/35ēC, and you can leave the car with the windows open, to let the water evaporate...
Best to remove seats, dashboard, interior trim, take the carpet out and wash it outside the car.
Take just a precaution. The carpets have the contours of the car floor moulded. If you let the carpet to dry in the sun, it will lose its form, an will be a pain to fit back in the car.
Best to let it dry up in the shade, with something holding the carpet in the closest way to the carpet still being inside the car...
Take care

Just go to the supermarket and get one of those carpet cleaning products.
I used one that you just sprayed on and vacumed off. It was easier because my carpet was out of the car at the time (in the process of respray).
But it's not wet and so won't rust the car. And is actually very easy.
Good luck! _________________ Quadrifoglio Rosa |
