there is air comming out of my oil tank!!??? there is a lot of air comming out were you pour the oil in. i lost my oil cap because of this!! when leaning over the engine bay (car running of course) you can easily feel the air pressure on your face. why is this happening??
am i loosing power because of this? and is it bad for the car?
cheers alan |

You should feel it only at idle and little above, pressing accel wire should provide some suction action from oil filler tube.
In case you're getting even stronger wind from there, that could be sign of very worn piston rings, which means expansion fumes from chamber escape around piston...and at end you don't have power. _________________ Tino Vatavuk

Yes - also perhaps too much blow-by gasses ending up in the crankcase due to worn piston rings....
Unlikely though Tino?????

Seems so.
Incidentally- the other day I was on Croatian Alfa meeting in my home town http://www.alfisti.hr/susreti/split/01.htm (only red 33 there).
I suppose you were in Varaždin, it is nice much more like uk (continental climate, green grass...), then adriatic coast where I live.
If you ever plan on passing through Split I expect p.m from you before you do so _________________ Tino Vatavuk

Quite oposite of that, it is allways coverd by mud. To reach my house I need to drive through 2kms od road that is 80% of time covered by mud, at autum, winter, sprig because it is raining, at summer beacause people are watering their land, flovers,vegetables....
33 has been to car wash about 100 feet away from meeting place (AR importer) _________________ Tino Vatavuk
