I live on the Hertfordshire/Beds/Bucks border area, UK

I had 'suds in my early days and a 33 1.7 QV for some years. Had various others and today's daily is a 2.4 JTD 156 Sportwagon

I own this 1983 33 Gold Cloverleaf, 36k, good order, nice to see a survivor with working electric windows and the trip computer too

How many of these survive in the UK today I wonder? At Auto Italia Day on Sunday just one 33 S2 was there and not one S1

I was in this

Hi,

I saw you arrive in the Beta- amazing condition is it original or restored? That dashboard looks like it could bring on migranes!

I was there in my green s3. The red s2 is John Haynes 'trophy' car. It was sporting a couple of stickers on the roof- They look like they might be covering something up!!

John

Cheers. You were the sole 33 on the back row field, yes?

The Beta was restored from the ground up ten years ago by the late former owner. It's the only one left on the road of that series. I used to own (until earlier this year) the Trevi you also saw at the show. Needs must, eh.

Small world - I used to live at Watford (was brought up there in fact) and my old mate Noel had a 16v S3 in the green just like yours. One afternoon in ~2002 it was pinched off 'snorbens High St and found burned-out a week later. That was one of the cleanest.

I still work at Bricket Wood, doncha know

Yep that was mine.

I've lived in Croxley Green for 5 years (yawn) in a house i was going to do up and sell "in a year", but am Watford born and bred. Went to Watford Boys Grammar 80-85

Guess you work for HSBC then?

Cheers,

John

HSBC, nope. Have another go Very Happy

I was a Grange Park boy, class of 87. One year later I passed test and smoked a 131 Mirafiori, succeeded by a Manta, a Fuego - then came the £100 Alfasud 5M and it all went wrong from there on, owning at least one Alfa ever since Cool

Well that's enough about me...

Anyone have any history on the two 33 I bought? They came with nowt. The QO is having it's private plate removed hence the blanking out in the pics.

Update

The QV is a two-owner car, I now have the stamped service book with lots of entries by hand from the owner 1986-2001. It's done 96k Miles, confirmed. Well, as confirmed as these cranky intermittent dash clocks can give Wink

The QO is a six-owner car, also have a service book and original wallet with unused service coupons (it's done 36k miles). Also, original registration B225 KRK has been determined.
