Hi everyone, I found this site while looking for 33s for sale because Ive decided that I want another one Smile. I have owned a Sud and 33 in the past but its over ten years ago that I parted with my 33 (1.7 carb in a strange strange off white colour).

Having decided that my MX5 isn't really my type of thing, I was looking around and stumbled across a 33 on ebay and suddenly realised that I can't remember the last time I saw one.

So once Ive sold the MX5, I will be on the look out for a 33, I would welcome advice on which is the best to go for, 16v or 1.7ie? Im thinking 1.7ie because I imagine the 16v isn't as torquey but I haven't driven either so this is only an assumption.

Im looking forward to being an Alfa owner again, its been far too long and its great to see that there is still a following for these great cars.
Regards,
Kev.

Yeah, drove a nice MX5 for a week in Germany and was very disappointed. Not very involving. Nice gearbox and very smooth, but dull.

Once you are bitten by the boxer (or punched even) you will never escape.
Many have tried to move on (me included) and many have failed.
I am personally a carb man so it would have to be a series 2 for me.
If your after a series 3 then a 1.7ie is the best bet as a daily driver.
The 16v will give you more smiles though.

I had forgotten how good the Veloce models looked though, so I might be tempted to go series 2, it will depend what comes up when Ive got the cash burning a hole in my pocket...

As they say 'genuine' reasons for sale (one of the main reasons is so I can concentrate on getting my Fiat Dino back on the road).

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks,
Kev
