This year’s Spring Alfa Day is to be held at Gawsworth Hall just south of Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 9RN. Cost will be £10 PER CAR (not person) pre-booked Alfa, otherwise £15/CAR.

I’ve already booked a room at Addlington Travelodge SK10 4NG so I can have a look at Castleton/Peak District on the Saturday afternoon. If anyone wants to join me, feel free.

This year is the 30th anniversary of the 33 so we hope to get some preferential parking at National Alfa Day. If anyone has some further ideas, let me know.

Stop being a couple of babies, I've just helped my son move which meant driving from Cleveland Ohio to Longbeach California.
Mind you I don't think I'd want to do 20 miles in Als old bone shaker Wink

You bought a new car then Al ?

Trip took a day and a half to Las Vegas where we spent a couple of nights and then about 4 1/2 hours on to Longbeach.

When I say a day and a half, that was 36 hours virtually non stop.
No speeding whatsoever, speed limit on most interstates is 75mph

55 on most normal roads, sometimes 45.
Motorway/interstate vary 70/75 urban motorways usually 60/65.
It does differ state to state though.
I've started a thread about the trip on AO, not got round to finishing it yet though, it's in the off topic section.
If I get time I'll put it on here.

Seems my lucky number is 13. (I'm not sure it has helped many people in the past.) Well it'd better be as it keeps cropping up in my life at the mo'. Now my ticket is No.13 in this year.

Bobbber and I are meeting up late morning/lunchtime on Sat 20th (shame it wasn't planned for a week earlier, to be extra lucky) in Edale to walk 8.8 miles up and down 2000 feet high Kinder Scout (Hope we're fit enough). We will then eat out somewhere in the evening. Would be great if anyone wants to join us, even if only for the meal.
