Thanks Matey, that would be really handy.

And if you had a complete 16v engine gasket set in the garage as well.... Wink

When I was replacing my engine in May Justsuds had a few 16v headsets. Might be worth a try if you haven't already?

any suggestions on front splitter/spoiler? Feel for doing some changes during the winter, and aerodynamic is one.

Make it my self, semi or buy - any suggestions wanted!

Hi

If your going to make a splitter and the cars only for the track! Then make it as low as poss! You could make it out of alloy fiberglass or Carbon fiber depending how much money you have Wink or take one from another car and graft it to fit your car. Mite be a bit cheaper !!
Some thing like adies 33 would be nice Wink

Just about to commission someone to make a fibreglass / carbon fibre bonnet, which makes removal much easier as well as dropping in excess of £10kg off the front end. I had one before for the series 2 - and it just makes access around the engine so much simpler. A couple of clips and then just completely remove the bonnet out of the way. What could be better?

Couldn't find anyone with a series 3 bonnet mould, so going to have someone make one. Let me know if you were interested, but I guess postage could be an issue.

The front bumper that Adie runs is pretty much a 75 Veloce to start with, although he made a carbon fibre version if I am correct. I also have a spare 75 Veloce front bumper going - but again postage would be expensive.

Just a thought..... Smile

Is it AHM? Would really like a front like that Smile

Well, my brother in law is from London and still work there even after moving to Norway, so would be possible...

John,

Yep, I remember you saying so. Smile

Unfortunately the current 33 is a series 3 so the moulds that are available are for series 2, so no good to me.

Will continue to look for a series 3 bonnet mould in the time it takes me to get my spare bonnet to the fabricators.

Let's see what happens.

Iain,

that's interesting! I certainly gave them to Bob, so don't know what he has done with them. There was a bonnet and boot mould. I know they were bulky so perhaps he has...... Confused

They are the only ones I know of - so I can say for sure I did not put them somewhere else. ALL of the moulds I had for the series 2 went to Bob.

Hmmm.....

Possibly binned them, I asked him a few years ago about a boot lid but he needed an original one to make a plug at a cost of £600 , same for the bonnet. Unless he thought I had a series 3?. Might be worth an e-mail I think. Shocked

I emailed Bob a while back - maybe 3 years - and he definitely had the facilities to offer S1/2 hatch, bonnet, wings, and even doorskins, but single purchase was pricey. now if we could devise a group buy scenario.. Rolling Eyes

It's a shame yours is not a series 3 as you could have come in with me on the series 3 bonnet mould I am soon to have made. I did mention to Bob about making a series 3 one for me some time ago, but the problem was getting a 16kg metal bonnet up to his place.

I have found someone who can make me a fibreglass / carbon one that is only a 40 mile drive away. Just got to find an excuse to drive over in that direction and drop it in.

Bob did have the series 2 bonnet and boot mould - have no idea what he as done with them. The bonnet was a particularly good mould. I wonder if he has it and doesn't realise.

When he was talking about making a bonnet for me (series 3) he was going to copy all of the inner structure, but for my car I only really need a decent outer, with suitable cross bracing underneath.

I'd be in for a bonnet, and maybe a boot lid - depending on cost.

Abyone else?

I have had a reply from Bob Wright reference the bonnet and boot lid for the S2, he has to make the molds as he sadly has none. The costs would be £420 for both.

Is that £420 just for (the creation of) each mould? Would there then be more funds for each item (bonnet or boot lid) taken out of the mould?

E.

I believe thats all in, the only condition is I supply a decent bonnet and boot lid....................does anyone have a boot lid kicking around without any trim on it?. Posting will be a pain but worth the hassle.
