I use an Odyessy PC680. Only 20 turning cycles so if you leave your car with an alarm on it will go flat within a few days.

30 AH lithium Ion battery are starting ( Confused ) lowering price, but still expensive:

On ebay you find this 30 Ah model (it weight only 2kg!) or similar at about 200 euro:

Something less (150e) if you search for the 20Ah model but
not sure it is reliable for a 1700cc motor (maybe ok only for racing)
but in the application list there is also honda 1800cc Gold Wing motorbike:

Oh and I forgot to mention, if you are putting the battery on its side then it needs to be a sealed unit, I have done this to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible. I wass going to put it in the boot area but couldn't be arsed.

I use the same as Iain.

Mine is on it side. It is a Redtop and pretty much what Iain shows in the ebay link.

Whenever I need one I tend to look out for a decent secondhand one on ebay. They have always seemed to have done the trick - not had a dud yet!

Plan will be to keep the lightweight battery on a ctek charger whilst not being used and when on track the normal battery will be used to jump if necessary.
