Occasionally I get the above. If I reach behind the fusebox and wiggle some wires, the battery charge light goes out.
I looked at the fuse box to find the following

The black wire goes up the right of the dash, is that the offending wire, any suggestions?

The burnt connection quite possibly has something to do with the problem Very Happy

You disconnected other wires when you removed the block, which could have also affected the light.

Instead of trying to work out how the flaky electric system on Alfa 33's works, I suggest you just replace the connector in the block (you can get them via Ebay) and clean up the tab in the fusebox.

The connectors pull out of the block if you depress the little retaining tab with a piece of stiff wire or a small screwdriver.

I'd go with what Dick says Al. Replace that wiring. Even if it doesn't solve the problem it's going to stop you having a mahoosive fire where your beloved 33 once stood.

I need a new fuse box. The pin pulled off the fuse box when I removed the block connector.

Al,

Kinghams have had this fusebox on Ebay for at least 7 years, so might do a deal:

Yeah because there stupidly priced.
Got a fuse box lined up.
Took the car out last night, no glowing light, maybe removing all the connectors and re connecting them helped.
I did have a glowing full beam light though lol.
