Yes there were two types for 4 bolt system.
You could diferentiate them by thickens of shock stub top, or by diameter of hole in rubber part.
1st was used on series 1,2 and few early series 3.
2nd came later and was first used on 1.7 engines.
Main difference is one type was all rubber, while other type has small metallic ring (small shock stub top bearing) inside rubber.
I don't remember which was thicker
Few months ago I replaced both of P4 front strut top mounts, while mounting Yellow KONIs shocks to front, and I know it was real hard to find older type top mount (you had to order them), while newer (one I needed) is available from SKF on shelve in most of AR parts shops.
In each package comes one notorius yellow top strut plastic bearing

hi
do you mean the difference between 3 stud and 4 stud legs
if so the springs and shockers are different as i found out to my cost
the springs on 3 stud legs are conical and i believe the shocker is a wider fit.

Hi!
I'd like to know if there are any difference between the struts with 4 bolts?
Thanks!
