36,000 miles? Time for a cambelt, tensioner and variator change then!
Don't forget to check that oil level every day.. and if the engine's still running after 6 months, you'll know the previous owner probably used to check it too! |

Yes - probably the GTV. I had moments of thinking "turn the 33 into a track car" - but now I'm thinking I can't be arsed!
2000 Silver GTV Lusso. 2 litre TS. Red Leather interior.
Thats about it. 36k on the clock.
Like it!

Arrivederci!
It may be a month or two, it may be a year or two, but that irresistable 16valver or P4 will come up, and you'll be back!!
Cheers!

All the best mate, shame you're leaving the fold - I'm sure you'll regret it and come back. Nothing compares to that boxer sound!!
Good luck in your new motor - if its a 145/146, maybe I'll hear from you on that forum.

I don't know what to say.
I'm glad you were here on this forum for last few years contributing to it in fun to read but at a same time tehnical posts.
Don't worrie about us we will either follow your footsteps and buy newer Alfas or everyone will buy motocycle for everyday traveling and in a few years time add Oldtimer prefix to this forum.
Hope your next car will be in mint condition for years to come and good luck. |

Hi,
Hey Bob! I'm surprised to read you are quitting the Alfa 33 never ending project ...
Good luck with the new Alfa ... but keep in mind that every Alfa needs the tender touch of its owner.
Best of luck pal.
Best regards |

Hi guys,
Alas, I am ducking out of the 33 world - as I'm to buy a newer alfa.
A big think you to everyone over the years who have helped me maintain and keep an increasingly fraustrating 33 on the road! I hope some of my advice has helped rather than hindered problems you may have reported on here!
My two 33's will soon be for sale (for parts/for breaking/for restoration/for driving etc...) on here. I'll pop by now and again to help those in need if I can.
Hoping I'll still be in touch - as I've met SO many people on here who are knowledgable and (appear to be!) genuinely good people.
Bob. |
