I didn't have enough time in it to find out, but I thought it might be a bush. Nice car though ain't it. I think you got a good buy. I supplied the interior. |

I use to have an issue around left hand bends with the manifold hitting the wishbone mount, it was down to worn engine stabiliser arm rubber, but I guess your talking rubbing around the wheels?. |

Yes when going hard around a right hander there is a rubbing noise, not sure if its front or rear and not had a chance to investigate yet.
I thought at first it might be the exhaust hitting underbody but now discounted that theory as it is definitely a rubbing sound.
Any Ideas??? |

Ich bin in Deutschland in der moment, but it is a very nice 33. I know that there is one bit you need - the carpet under the dash. There is a minor problem with n/s suspension? If I were still living in Isfield I would have bought this car so I am a little jealous. |

Well Ive just driven her home to Bath from E.Sussex with a huge grin on
my face all the way...mainly due to the fuel gauge, accelerate full tank,
brake empty tank Id forgotten that little foible.
Anyway it was a great drive and cant wait to get back in tomorrow. |

Ah but how long ago is this? £300 in 1994 gets inflationed to £460 today
Lookin at rise in the values of say: XR3, SRi, E80 Corollas and of course Alfasud QV, it's not gone up much at all |

Yes it is

The sill end looks straightforward, so £500 is no money for what is now a rarity. |
Yes looks an easy fix so soon get that done.
I Thought it was worth a punt as no one else seemed to be bidding on it.
And I have to confess I am possibly a little bit to blame for the rarity of these cars because I used to pick them up very cheaply and
drive them into the ground, scrap them and pick up another.
The most I ever paid for a 33 was around £300 (till now).
I am possibly responsible for the demise of 5 or 6 series 2s (including 2 sport wagons) and I also wrote off a series 3 1.5ie |

Welcome back.
Is this the Chris Kennaird car?
My brother was quite interested in that early summer, it went on and off and back on the market.

Had a moment of madness last night and placed a bid on ebay.
So tomorrow afternoon I will be the proud owner of a grey series 2 cloverleaf.
What have I done??? |
