Lee, very sad news indeed, but........... are you willing to save the car if it was viable to do so? Let me give it to my welder mate who really is the best, he fabricates panels where needed, also he owns a nice 33 so he is in our world & knows the cars well. He could give you a quote to sort it out and i'm sure you would be happy, you up for it? |

Blimey Ian... you have a boat? Let's have the reunion on your boat.... how awesome is that!?
Why didn't you mention you had a boat before? |
Sorry to disappoint but it sits low in the water with me on board so may just struggle to hold a reunion reunion on my vessel
Might be able to carry a couple of sixpacks on the bow though. |

No he doesnt need to move to Scotland to get his ham out in public, he's quite happy to do that in Derbyshire.
Heidi (Paul) Bobber and myself (oh and a mate of Heidi's) went on a little expedition recently to a remote part of Scotland to climb a mountain that has never been radioed from before and having got to the summit he failed to get the required number of callers for it to qualify (still awake??) and so that evening was spent in the remotest public house on the mainland British isles quaffing ale.

Jeremy. I love the look of your car and would have it in a jiffy.......if I had the spare cash.
Anyone want a kidney?
Bob. I think a Spa reunion reunion has to be on the cards one day. I reckon it could generate some interest (esp with that Marshy bloke). So, have you moved then? Scotland? Is that so you've got plenty of mountains to get your ham out in public? |

I go up a mountain - talk to people on a radio and get points for it.
You have to talk to a minimum of 4 people to get the points. That's about it really.
Sad news Lee... We ought to meet up for a drink or something some time.

ignore Heidi she just talks jibberish most of the time.
You have to ask bob about summits on the air, it's radio hamming up a mountain.
Wow, second page already.
Amazing how misfortune generates so much interest |

Well.... what can I say. I've just heard the news and can't believe there's an opportunity for me to gloat!
That bloody under-seal has a lot to answer for, oh, and the fact that the cars are made of shite metal.
Anyway mate - look on the bright side in as much as most people don't ever get to own such a great car and on top of it all you've got to do something really awesome that most people can only dream of...
...meeting me!

Beer is the way forward........Funnily, Jupiler cans have more thickness of metal and rigidity than anything on my car. |
