This will be for sale in less than 6 mnths
Just had a new M.O.T, please look online for advisories
Previous owner did not look after this!!
Coolant was rusty sludge and small return pipe was blocked.
dizzy cap was on the wrong way round and loose!
head studs were missing and bolts were used!
rear drum shoe adjuster ratchet springs were missing both sides
I have replaced;
both rear cylinders and shoes
added 1 ratchet spring, I have 2 new whole adjuster mechanisms
flushed the coolant system and cleared the blocked pipe
fitted new exhaust head studs.
all new intake and exhaust valves, valve stem seals, head gasket on O/S head
cam belts
oil and filter
Power steering and alternator belts
repaired brake pipes, Alex made a complete front to rear set, I will pick up at NAD
changed interior for alcantara
2 new tyres, fitted to the rear
new front pads

Nice work Alex did it take you long to do the swap over.
Also do you know of anyone who has some recaros as I want some for my sud .
I have several sets of recaros from P4s and late 16vs. I have a set of the alcantara recaros although they need a damn good clean.
Was looking for about 100 quid for a set.

Post subject: Transformation, 8v becomes a 16v.
Thought you guys might like to see my latest little project. Steve Lilly in Essex who has had his lovely 1.7 ie 33 for about 6 months missed the grunt of his previous 16v, so asked if i could supply & fit all the relevant bits to fully convert his car in to a 16v model. I'm cracking on with the job..........
Steve's ie in standard form.
After changing bumpers, mirrors, side skirts, wheels, fitting a spoiler, a set of headlight washers it rapidly started to look like a 16v.
Then the interior was replaced with a P4 set along with the nardi steering wheel.
