Post subject: ELD.gg-The Most Satisfying Melee Build in POE2
That's the energy you get when piloting one of the most electrifying builds currently gaining traction in Path of Exile 2's Dawn of the Hunt league. After grinding my Blood Mage Witch all the way to level 98 and experimenting with a lightning warp variant of the build
Path of Exile 2 Currency for sale
, I found myself craving something new. That's when the community started buzzing about a warping melee titan-a Moler-wielding monstrosity channeling the power of Thor himself.
Build Overview: Lightning-Warping Titan with Earthquake Core
At its core, this is a level 89 Titan Ascendancy build that leverages lightning warp and high attack speed to unleash Earthquake's devastating aftershocks. All shown gameplay is with level 19 skill gems, meaning this setup is already melting maps before even hitting full power at gem level 20.
This build feels fast, smooth, and dangerous. With Blood Magic as a foundation, we leech life back almost instantly, making sustainability feel seamless even in hectic encounters.
Core Uniques and Mechanics
Let's break down the holy trinity of items:
1.Moler Torment Club-The centerpiece of this build. This weapon allows spellcasts on melee hit and scales beautifully with attack speed. To get it working, we need absurd attribute thresholds: 300+ Strength and Intelligence.
2.Yarn Gripper-Solves the massive attribute requirement by allowing Strength to satisfy Intelligence needs for melee weapons and skills. With this, we can comfortably invest in Strength and still meet all gem and item requirements.
3.Vertex Tribal Mask-Reduces attribute requirements by 50% across the board. Without this, we'd struggle to equip or use many of our critical gems like Herald of Thunder or Blasphemy. This mask unlocks the full flexibility of the build.
4.With these three uniques, the build takes flight-turning Earthquake into a screen-wide AoE nuke that triggers lightning warp and other spells automatically.
Gear Priorities
Beyond the core uniques, the gear loadout aims to boost attack speed, life, and resistances:
ï‚·Weapon Slot 1: A Moler with 20% attack speed and level 19 spell-on-hit, paired with runes that further boost skill speed.
ï‚·Weapon Slot 2: Dual Snakewood Great Hammers for stun-based single-target damage (especially useful for bossing). These increase stun build-up, which is great for locking down threats.
ï‚·Amulet: Prioritize +Melee Skills, Strength, Life, and resistances. Anoint Deep Trans for more attack speed.
ï‚·Rings: Stack flat physical damage, life, attributes, and ideally leech to synergize with our Blood Magic setup.
ï‚·Armor Pieces: Go for high armor, life, and resistances. Since the build lacks a strong secondary defense, this is where you'll patch up durability.
ï‚·This build is leech-heavy, meaning sustain is baked into its mechanics. Still, resist cap and armor are non-negotiable-especially with no dodge, suppression, or block layers present in this version.
Attack Speed: The Engine of the Build
This cannot be emphasized enough-attack speed is everything.
Earthquake's natural animation is slow, which becomes a liability when you're warping into large packs. The faster you attack, the quicker your aftershocks trigger-those being the primary source of your DPS. Without high attack speed, you risk warping in, getting interrupted, and dying before Earthquake even procs.
How do we stack attack speed?
ï‚·Runes: Multiple runes on both the Moler and the 2H Mace for increased skill speed.
ï‚·Passive Tree: Route through every notable offering attack speed.
ï‚·Megalomaniac Jewel: Using a triple-attack-speed jewel with nodes like Reaving, Thrill of Battle, and Acceleration.
ï‚·Amulet Anoint: Deep Trans for additional attack speed.
ï‚·Support Gems: Marshall Tempo, Fast Forward, and Reach all enhance attack rate.Skill Gem Setup
Main Skill: Earthquake
The Earthquake combo aims to minimize delay between the slam and the powerful aftershock explosion:
ï‚·Earthquake
ï‚·Fast Forward
ï‚·Reach
ï‚·Marshall Tempo
ï‚·Magnified Effect
ï‚·Lightning Infusion
By reducing skill effect duration, we accelerate aftershocks and maximize AoE with Magnified Effect. This lets us warp into packs and obliterate everything before they can react.
Lightning Warp Trigger (via Moler)
ï‚·Lightning Warp
ï‚·Voltaic Mark
Instead of running double warp setups like Ae's version, this build uses Voltaic Mark to auto-mark enemies and apply lightning vulnerability. It simplifies the rotation while boosting effective damage on impact.
Herald of Thunder (Clear)
ï‚·Herald of Thunder
ï‚·Inner Vate
ï‚·Long Shot
ï‚·Elemental Focus
ï‚·Primal Armament
ï‚·Defy
This gem set chains through mobs, clearing screens automatically when triggered by kills. Even without manual intervention, it turns the build into a pseudo-autobomber.
Single Target: Mace Strikes & Warrior Totem
ï‚·Mace Strikes (Set 1):
ï‚·Cooling Strike, Heo Crystals, Incision, Lacerate
ï‚·Mace Strikes (Set 2):
ï‚·Swift Affliction, Break Posture, Discombobulate, Demolisher
These are for bossing or rare enemies. The dual setup ensures flexibility depending on whether you want more raw damage or control.
Ancestor Warrior Totem
ï‚·With Rolling Slam, Heavy Swing, Close Combat, Heft, and Concentrated Effect
ï‚·This is the go-to for tougher targets, like map bosses. While not yet perfect, this area is a priority for future improvements in the build.
Leap Slam (Utility + Stun)
ï‚·Leap Slam
ï‚·Momentum
ï‚·Fire Infusion
ï‚·Execute
ï‚·Aftershock
ï‚·Reverberate
This serves as both a movement tool and a backup single-target ability. Leap Slam applies stun buildup and can finish off leftovers after the main Earthquake rotation.
Defense and Recovery
ï‚·Blood Magic ensures we cast off our life pool, but with high regen and instant leech, we stay afloat.
ï‚·Time of Need-Arguably the most broken Spirit in this setup. It procs every few seconds and tops you off, making you feel near-immortal unless one-shot.
ï‚·Armor, resistances, and time of need make up the core of our defensive layers. Hadnar's energy shield variant could provide a more robust hybrid version, which I plan to explore in future iterations.
Closing Thoughts
This lightning-warping Earthquake Titan has quickly become one of the most enjoyable builds I've played this league.
Whether you're zooming through maps or taking down tanky bosses, this build offers a flashy, fast-paced
