When driving at higher speeds my car tends to shake quite violentley. Its fine at slower speeds but once i go over 70-80mph i get rattled to death. does any1 no the problem or is this normal

Ive checked all the leads and cant find the problem.
could it be somthing wrong behind the dash? I heard it was an awkward job taking the dashboard off, so i didnt really want to try.
