The last 2 grand prix have coincided with live coverage of BTCC from Brands Hatch and Silverstone on Motors TV.

I was watching F1 and BTCC, flicking from one to the other. No prizes for guessing wh ...

I think I should make it this year.

My Sprint won't be ready for another couple of years(!) but it looks like an interesting venue. I might even pick up a few bits for the Sprint.

33 1.5 Veloce
33 1.7 Cloverleaf
33 1.7 Veloce

The only difference the Veloces had was a bodykit. The 1.7 had a ...

John,

What I think you want is the Alfasud/Sprint Haynes manual. It will cover the carbs (Dellorto and Weber) from the 1.5 engines but not the 1.7, but they are pretty much the same.

The book is ...

I think many transverse engined cars use special tools like the draper plank to support the engine when the clutch is being changed. The Fiat Uno does for sure. Use suitable padding and a plank should ...

You should be able to get bushes for a Sprint. JustSuds lists both trailing arm bushes and bottom arm bushes at £6.45 each, and an anti-roll bar bush kit at £7.55. They don't differentiate between Sud ...

If Lincoln isn't too far from Derby (I guess it's a similar distance to Wolverhampton!), you could try BLS - top notch Alfasud and 33 racers. They know their stuff, that's for sure.

You were right, the extra 10bhp comes from different heads - hotter cams, better porting, and, I think, bigger valves.

I think another very significant difference between a 33 Gold Cloverleaf and ...

Isn't it just an earth wire, to short to the disks when the pads are worn?

If thats how it works then it would only need one wire.

It isn't likely to be the viscous coupling, unless you can see evidence of damage to the casing. It would probably need a good knock to damage it.

There is very little to go wrong with the viscous ...

It depends on what engine you want, and availability in your area.

If it is a 1.2w bulb then it is possibly a 286 - very common in switches etc, but sometimes too bright in dashboards - ok with a dimmer, though!

Would 185/55 14s look right?

I would have thought that they would look a little small under the arches?

If you want lower profiles, you should look for some 15inch alloys and try 195/55 15s.
