back to the original problem I was getting a bit ahead of myself. It is the Drive shaft I have a problem getting out, were some loctited in as I have heard the suds were?

After having exhausted other options could a loose connection from the starter motor which has also been reconditioned recently cause a problem.

My car will not start when cold. My temporary fix is to spray petrol into the air cleaner box which eventually starts it but I realise this may eventually backfire(no pun intended). Alfa 33 1.5ie 1990 ...

Air flow box is a Bosh jetronic. Have now got the manual from ebay and looking at the diagrams will have to work through the flowchart.

We actually had the Air flow box held upside down whilst the starter motor was repaired recently. Could this be what has upset the starting system. Are there loose/moveable parts in this box?

Alfa 33 1.5iE 1990 I have trouble starting the car if left for more than one day the car has to be "excited" by sending a low voltage back to the ECU does this mean I have to get a new ECU? and if so ...
