measured the adaptor today, its not symetrical so your box wouldn't fit unless you flipped it upside down! I'm looking for 220 for the carbs, they're very good condition, only ever been on a race car ... |

had another think about the wishbones. the extra compliance bush isn't that uncommon, remember rwd Escorts? I seem to remember some Fiats being like that as well. |

just had a re-think, the adaptor is for a hewland mk8/9 ie upside down beetle! so might not be any good unless the bolts are in the same place. I'll have a look at it tomorrow. |

hi, I have an adaptor plate for a v/w gearbox if you're interested. It's a bit hand knitted but does work! I've also got a dizzy that would do you and a nice pair of 45 dellortos that would be perfect ... |

Don't know why they did it like that. No other Alfas are like that at all. The only other fwd Alfa as opposed to Fiat based ones is the 164 which has a similar strut layout but conventional solid low ... |

even if it will phisically fit, which I doubt cause the pinion won't line up with the hole in the bulkhead, it would need a lot of concentration to drive! if you turn the wheel left the car will turn ... |

They are fronts, they are for 8v boxer engined 145/146s. the 16v boxer and all twinspark cars had vents. |

the bush in the end of the gearbox extension isn't really to hold the gearbox rigidly in place but more to transfer crash loads to the chassis to stop the footwells crushing in the event of a head on ... |

check for worn cam lobes first very common and will give exactly these symptoms. |

hi, unless you buy the full kit ie with valves, springs, caps etc the followers Adie sells won't be any good. He uses longer valves and followers without stems. None of the stuff can be fitted on its ... |

inlet cams have one fat lobe and one pointy one per cylinder, exhaust cams have 2 pointy ones! |

hi, I think that the clio williams /19 16v ones are the ones you are referring to. I don't think they all have solid lifters and even the ones which do aren't that suited to high revs because they are ... |
