hello all

the window control switch in my 33 jammed, then melted, and was duly replaced. I am reading voltage at one of the terminals that feed the switch however the new switch wont run the windows. An examination of the winder motors shows them to work very well so the problem is most probably either a relay or voltage feed issue. Suffice to say that i checked all fuses however i have no clue as to which relay(s) are part of the window circuit.

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the 33?

Does anyone have experience with this problem and can point me at the correct relay to inspect or change?

What model 33 do you have?
Do both the electric windows not work, or is one broken and the other functional?
Do you have a multimeter to test that the new switch works?

its an 84 carby 1500cc model

both windows have ceased to operate.

i have attempted to check switch functionality with m/meter - there is a change of state across some contacts however i do not know which ones are supposed to be changing state when the button is pressed.

Relay is behind centre console, not far above g/box tunnel.

have you test the cables ? (they are often broken near door hindge)
