Hi Smile

I was wondering... is it possible to use 'hot' camshafts from a tuned boxer 1.5 in a boxer 1.7? (both carb-engines)

the boxer 1.7 is to be completely overhauled in the very near future, and now I got this offer for the camshafts... and they're not exactly expensive... and almost never used so... is sounds like an attractive offer! But... will it fit? And run? I know the 1.5 and the 1.7 engines are very similar, only bore and stroke of the pistons are different but... are the cilinderheads similar or not?

Tnx Smile

Oh, I forgot; both engines now have the non-hydraulic valve heads on them

The 1.7 heads have a bigger inlet and slightly bigger ports and chamber. if it already has solid lifter cams then I don't see any reason why not.

Pls note Solid lifted and hydrualic lifted cams are NOT INTERCHANGABLE. Good luck.
