My sprints decided to lose half the dashboard + column electrics today... All fuses intact, right stalk doesnt work, all electric gauges on the dash are dead. the only thing happening on it is the battery light is lit. Im going to check for failed connectors behind the dash. _________________ Alfa Sprint QV - Gone to a better home and in happier health for it

Hi
Sorry to hear about your troubles...
But it seems to me that your problem is a bit more complicated than bad connections...
I dont know the Sprint very well, by i assume that behind the gauges there is also a "plastic" circuit board. My guess is that your car probably "burned" something in this board...
Not very helpfull
Good luck

Hi.
Another suggestion would be to check the 'earth' points (under the bonnet) to see if anyone got too rusty or got loose. Also check the cables running through the firewall into the cabin. It might be that a connector got loose to and thus it cannot feed the dashboard.
An auto-electrician could be your last option if you cannot figure it out.
Best of luck!!! _________________ 1994 Alfa 33 1.5 IE Cat. 220.000Kms and still going strong!!! (Από την Αθήνα και τώρα στην Λευκωσία) |

Had the dash cluster out and cleaned up all the contacts on the column switches last night, to no avail. It seems the switch is doing something (battery light changes intensity on its switching). but im not sure where to go now.. no relays clicking, and no haynes manual.
Can anyone advise on the wiper relay? my next move will be to remove and clean up the fusebox and all associated connections, which worked wonders on my beta _________________ Alfa Sprint QV - Gone to a better home and in happier health for it

Im also looking for wiring diagrams. Its an 88 sprint cloverleaf, anyone have any idea if it shares schematics with other models? Ive not seen the electrics on s1/2 33s... _________________ Alfa Sprint QV - Gone to a better home and in happier health for it

Turned out to be a loose connection at the fusebox. Phew. _________________ Alfa Sprint QV - Gone to a better home and in happier health for it
