We are currently looking at building a race engine with the bits we have. The engine needs to be less than 1420cc, so therefore using the 1700 pistons with 1100cc crank should bring me to around 1403cc.
How much can we safely take off the top of the piston to get the compression ratio up. I will be using a set of 1350cc heads which are the flat type. We will also be getting a set of cams reprofiled. Anyone got any ideas where to get hold of good quality competition valve springs and also an oil pump (are they main dealer only)
Any other advise would be greatly received and any ideas on any problems we may come across.
If it works this will be one short stroke power machine. |

If you do that you will lower the compression ratio. |

The idea is to deck the block once we have taken some off the pistons, need to get compression ratio to somewhere near 11-1. |
