I am looking at either installing a K & N 57i induction kit (102 euro) on my 1994 16v QV or fitting it with a squadra chip (http://www.squadra-tuning.com/English/EN_alfa_33_16v.htm) cost = approx 195 Euro. Has anyone had any experience with either? I am looking to get the mod with the most 'bang for buck' and most hp gain

Hi Fletcher
I have tried the Squadra chip, it did not work or me. The sound of the engine Improved ( more smooth ) but the torkey got worse both at low and hi rew´s.
My car is modified with a closed system cold air intake ( conical KN filter ), Iresa crossover manifold and a metallic racer cat.

With the Squadra chip you also have to run on higher octane fuel - Euro 98 here (not sure in your neck of the woods). I therefore would never fit a Squadra chip...

I'd go with a nice induction kit, although you'd need a nice induction pipe to suck in the cold air.

i was thinking of putting in an airscoop to have like a ram air effect like on bikes because there doesnt seem to be an accessable supply of cold air
