Hope you dont mind if I copy and paste in the description I will use for when (if) I put it on ebay.. Offers invited, I will post pictures this weekend most likely
1988 Alfa Romeo Sprint Cloverleaf
This is an auction for my 1988 Alfa Romeo Sprint Cloverleaf. The car has covered 88500 miles and is a solid car needing minor attention to return it to the reliable and fun drive that I have used it as for the past year.
I bought it off of another alfa enthusiast to use whilst my lancia underwent some restoration work. When I bought it I put a new MOT on it and a cambelt change(only 8k miles ago) as well as replacing the springs with a set of justsuds lowering springs. Since then ive used it as my daily driver right up until the clutch refused to disengage upon arrival at work. I havent investigated this but I suspect it to be a failure of the clutch hydraulics system, which is a perfect repair for the diy mechanic, requiring only a bit of time and minimal parts.
The car has been enthusiast owned from new, as is shown by the add ons that have been made to it. The 1.7 litre engine has been rebuilt and at the same time the heads have undergone porting + polishing work. The twin carburettors have been rejetted and breathe through a pair of k&n filters, providing an induction roar sure to bring a grin everytime you use the loud pedal. The exhaust has been replaced 8k miles ago with a bespoke stainless steel system that manages to perform an excellent job of remaining quiet enough not to be an annoyance if you
have sensitive neighbours, but give it some road and put your foot down and
it complements the excellent boxer engine note to a tee.
The bodywork of the car is shabby but sound. The rear wheel arches are beginning to rust and the off side front wing has a dent in it, but it still polishes up well and draws attention whereever it goes. The car sits on a full set of correct alloys. I also have a spare set that will be included with the auction if the winning bidder wishes to take them
The interior of the car is in good condition - the door cards have faded somewhat and the front seats have been replaced with items from a green cloverleaf, so dont match but this doesnt detract from the appeal of the car for me. The stereo has been replaced with a face-off jvc cd player, with a kenwood speaker in each of the doors.
In summary, if you want something to take to concourse shows, you dont want this car. This car is for someone who wants to enjoy driving a car with individual character and spirit.

Just wondering if you sold it? What would be a guide price for one like this? |

I have been lazy and not put it on ebay yet..
As for how much I am hoping to get for it.. not sure. it'll go up with no reserve.. hoping for anything over 150 quid.. must be worth that for a tuned engine, stainless exhaust, new lowering springs, adjustable shocks and 2 sets of alloys alone |
