There used to be a website about "my 33 - what's gone wrong today", which was really funny. I don't think it's about anymore and if it is, I can't seem to find it.
The opening paragraph at the home page had a funny couple of sentances - which I think sum things up. It went something like :
"I owned an Alfa Romeo 33 1.7 16valve between 1997 and 2000. It was a great car and I loved it."
"ACTUALLY it was a bloody AWFUL car, but the part about loving it was true".
Magic!

Hi,
That website was by James Bell (i think), who (i think) went on to get a TVR!
I may have dreamt it but i'm sure he was on here in the fairly recent past looking for a 'very good' 16v or p4!!!
Lets face it there is something magical about all Alfas, but particularly the flat 4 variety. They are like high maintenance women, a lot of greif and heartbreak, but can also be so rewarding, and you never forget them!!!!!!

Bizarre. First time I log in for about a year and someone mentions my old website. It's James Barrett (my wife's name is 'Bel' - hence BelJames)

Hey James! That's the website - and it's YOU!
I think you started a whole range of web sites created by people who loved nothing better than to swear at the Alfa reliability!!!!
Looks like I got the slogan pretty spot on! I always remember that one!
Cheerz!!!!

Your web site, was one of the first ones, i`ve encountered about the 33...
It was very good. I went there mainly for the Workshop Manuals.
It was a very nice page, and i was sad when you decided to sell your 33, and lost some interest in updating your site...
At the time, i drove a 1.5 TI (series 2), but i´ve upgraded to a 1.7 QV (series 2). After that i went to a 75 2.0 TS (that went terribly wrong), and finally i came back to 33, this time a red 16v...
Glad you are back. Have you found the perfect 33??
All the best
