Just got figures from the DVLA and it’s a bit shocking. For all of us living in the UK if you’ve got a P4 best hang onto it as it’s a bit of a rare beast – 43 on the road and 25 SORN so 68 total. (and I’ve got three of them, leaving only 65 others round the country!). Well actually that’s not the whole story – of course we know that the series 1 cars are practically non-existent (less than 100 in total in the UK), but would you believe that the series 2 cloverleaf 1.7 is even rarer than the P4 - 35 on the road and 24 SORN! (and I’ve got 2 of the ones on the road.) No wonder I'm not seeing many others around. _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

I'm responsible for one less in the last month I'm afraid.
But it was mostly "brown metal"

So those numbers than were SORN, is that in total over the lifetime of that model or is that just within the last month or year? |

Hi,
How many s3 33s still alive out of interest?
There was one other late met verde 16valver, just like mine, around Watford (near me) , that i did see at an AROC show a few years back, but i haven't seen it for ages.
Oh and I spotted the red s2 aroc concours winning car 'on my manor' last summer. Never saw it before, or seen it since.
There are nearly 100 suds and 33s reincarnated into Minaris. Most of these are 33 s2 based, and still on the road. Some may be registered as alfasuds / 33s, and some as Minaris. When my father and i built 'ours' registration was a bit of a grey area, and a DVLA bod came to look at the finished car. As Minari gave the tubs a chassis number, it ended up registered as a Minari.

Haven't got all the figures yet as I had to point out to them that they were missing the 1.3 33s, the series 2 TIs, the series 3 1.5 IEs and some of the the series 3 1.7 IEs. But otherwise series 3 - 290 taxed, 126 SORN, but there will be alot of earlier 1.7 IEs. By the way what defined an "Amica"? _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

Hi
Amica was a late series 2 white a bodykit, all in white from memory.
We have 3 33s around here. A 1.3 lhd series 3 and the P4, both currently off the road but hopefully that will change in a week or so, and a rhd 1.3 series 3 which is for spares.
All the best

Hello all - first proper post here so I thought I'd better introduce myself!
If it passes the pre-purchase inspection I'll be getting one of those P4's off Sorn and back on the road!
I'm quite excited! Hope it's ok |

i`ve got one of those sorn p4s, should be on the road soon after an engine rebuild(its all back in just a few bits and bobs to do) and its only done 36000 miles, i used to have a 1.7 cloverleaf series 2 aswell until i got over enthusiastic with it.
rubbing my hands with glee - i knew they would be worth a few bob in a few years even though i intend to keep mine forever. _________________ brum brum |

Paul
Thanks - only 29 SW's - rarer than the P4s
The pics I had off the guy for the P4 in Sheffield look good.
I am humming about it as just started on SW rebuild and the P4
will divert attention. |

Paul, do you have figures for any car.
My dad has a 1967 Lotus Elan and wondered how many were left. _________________

Probably getting on for most of them.
First car I was ever in during my life was a Lotus Elan S2 SE. Picked up from the hospital in one when I was born.
All the best
