Hi,

Has anyone got any experience with fixing the hazards on an S3?

Mine were very intermitant, usually fixed by groping up under the lh side of the steering coulumn, but now the are dead.

I think the switch is ok, and when you put on the RH normal indicator with the hazard switch pressed on it flashes (the switch), but only the rh indicator is on Question

Is this down to one of what look like flasher units under the lh of steering column- there's a black one and a grey one- one of which has a fuse i think. Hazard fuse in fusebox looks ok.

Any ideas? Don't like car electrics much.

John

On the missus Marina it all turned out to be the hazard switch itself. A mechanic got it going by some vigorous movement Shocked, of the switch that is Sad , to clean the contacts.

Hi,

I've sussed it i think. Taking off the trim under the dash helped alot. Think it's a dicky jazard flasher unit- it works vertical, doesn't work horizontal. The hazard unit and the lights alarm one are tucked right up high.

Thanks RS, My uncle had a Marina new on an R plate - that's 1978 suffix.
