Received this today:

Subject: Auto Italia
Paul,
We are running a feature on the MiTo which will include a 145 and 33. Do you know of a good 33 we could shoot, preferably in the Herts area. We are looking at Monday June 8th. We want to avoid using the John Haines car as we have shot it before.

Well it all happened today, and was great fun.
A Mito 1400 Turbo, 145 1.6ts and my 33 met at Bovingdon Airstrip for a photoshoot, and an interview with Chris Rees(?) who also drove the cars for the write up.
Should be in the Mag August/ September. Gawd knows how they'll rate the 33. Probably wont make the cover, but we did some of those staggered moving shots and 'arrowheads', and they shot the interior, engine bay etc etc.
Also got to take the Mito Turbo for a blast 'round the local roads on my own and it sounded great under welly, was pretty damn quick, but i wouldn't say scary quick.
Here'a a crap picture i toook from a long way away.
John.

Hi,
The mag is out this week! 15 July??
The 33 has even made the cover -sort of! Just hoping they don't slate my car- gotta be better than the 145 1600ts (yawn).

Cool John! I'll be getting that issue.
They're bound to come up with the negatives for the 33 but it's the quirks that draw us to them |

That's great.... they got the order of finishing backwards. Maybe that's the start line with handicaps _________________ Fiat Bravo 165 Sport |

I suggested a drag race, but they were having none of it.

Wimps!
I laughed the other day when I watched Top Gear (can't remember if current or a "Dave" one) when the McLaren F1 basically beat the pants off the Bugatti Veyron. It was only at the VERY top end that the Veyron got in front.
So for all intent and purpose (at least in any scenario you could imagine in the real-ish world) - the F1 is a quicker car.

Nah I disagree, a Caparo f1 or Ultima would be the choice of mental machine form me, even a sorted F40 would do the business against either f these machines. _________________ PHAT 33 |

All this talking about exotic cars makes me want to take all you guys to my work, we got them all there. I've got a mint picture of my 33 sw next to a blue Zonda, when i showed it to Paul i loved the way he said that the sportwagon is the rarest out of the 2! although a tad cheaper!! _________________ 155 sportpack
