Hi,
Did anyone else notice the minari in the top gear 'technology centre' when they were building george the milkfloat/tvr hybrid?
It was mint green and I suspect what's left of the original minari 16v roadsport demonstrator.

Doesn't look like a Boxer Alfa engine to me
Looks more like it's been built around a TVR 3000S

pmsl, that stratos, I don't know how J.C fittid in the drivers seat!
My mate at college had one, I had trouble fitting in the passenger seat. It was a kit car, Q reg and i don't know what engine it had in it. It felt quick but i was only young. Check this out http://www.stratossupersite.com/fenomenon-stratos/ I am surprised it wasn't mentioned
I was going to buy an Integrelle but i was told that it eats through bushes and is a pig to maintian, 4 wheel allignment. _________________ x2 33 16v

Hi,
Flat 4, you beat me to grabbing a pic off iplayer for better inspection.
It does look lke the minari tub, but the door handles are very different as well as the windcreen surround and of course front end. It may be based on the minari international- a company built a prototype in the early noughties that had a different tubular frame front chassis section- might be based around that????
Adrenalin motorsport currently use the minari base/tub with impreza power/ running gear, and the minari boys did the delfino around a sccoby too.

I thought Minari International became the Murtoya?
Either way it's got a V engine in there and the manifolding is very much in TVR style

I remember when people moaned when 16V were at £3k and 8V at £2k were considered the better car to live with day to day
One day, we will be paying handsomely for a 33.
But there will only be two left so we'll be left importing them from Australasia! |

The "minari/Tvr debate is over I'm afraid to say, its a TVR Tuscan which were specially built for the TVR Tuscan challenge cup (they look nothing like the road going car), and that particular car was sponsored by my old company Barclay's hence the shocking colour, there were 2 cars in the team and I used to work with one of the driver's (Steve Hyde) I think he now races a Morgan. Several years back when they were racing at Brands , the Tvr lost a wheel and it killed a spectator sad but true . Since then the Tuscans are used in the TVR championship and are still among the quickest on the grid. _________________ PHAT 33 |

Al',
The red lancia looks like a pug 306 Much prefer the sharp original lines.
