I'm begining to think about what I might replace the 33 with. Does anyone have any experience of the 147?
Cheers

Never had or driven one, but have been told that they're not as quick as 145s of comparable engine E.G 2.0ts, as they're much heavier. Gta v6 must go allright though!
We had an s1 145 2.0ts clover which was great. IMO the early twinspark s1 145s look best (with the phone dial wheels), but are getting on now, but you could still get a late s2 from 1999-2000 cheap???

A friend of mines son, having had all the usual boyracer stuff, polo, golf, focus (lowered and noisy) has now grown up and bought a 1.6 ts 147 and absolutely loves it.
Never wants to change it and doesnt know why he ever bothered with all the other stuff. _________________ Presntly own

My wife had one for 7 yrs until 4 months ago when it was written off by an Army lorry. Good car very comfortable , it was a 1.6ts lusso version and pulled quite well if revved enthusiastically, had all the toys being a lusso.
The only issue we had with it was the usual suspension rubber bushes and the variator becoming noisy, and of course a cam belt and tensioner change every 4yrs or 30k miles. _________________ PHAT 33 |

Jeremy,
If you're still thinking about a 147, this one looks well sorted and looked after:
