Hi

Unlucky. The London system has stopped a fair amount of traffic going into the city centre, which is driving a fair few shops out of business. It has actually discouraged more than they expected so they are not making the profits they expected from it.

Mind you I don't know about Sydney but Melbourne traffic was quite light when compared to UK cities, let alone London.

Do you want the real joke? If you get your car towed away for dodgy parking in London they tow it to a pound which is inside the congestion charging zone, so you not only have to pay for the dodgy parking but you have to pay the congestion tax to get your car back!

All the best

Keith

I think it is an offence to damage the clamp, but not the lock. Funny that, but its just another case of English law!

[size=18]It happens to every country that needs money. The authorrities will choose a spot that is very dense in traffic to begin with, it slows down the learning to detour process. If motorists ever learn, the will expand the area of charged road usage. eventually you'll heve to pay everywhere you go. It's happening in my country already.

Here's an option - to avoid getting clamped, carry 4 wheel clamps with you and put one on each wheel when you park up Twisted Evil
