Pulling away from a junction, just before I went to change into second I felt a loss of power, like I pressed on the clutch early before coming off the throttle.
There was no noise, the clutch pedal feels normal, all gears are selectable, the linkage from the gear stick is in place and the driveshaft bolts are all intact.
If the input shaft on the gearbox went, would this make a noise?
If the clutch splines were worn through, would the clutch pedal still feel the same? _________________ x2 33 16v

Possibly the clutch cover has gone, but like you say you would expect the pedal to feel a bit lighter possibly.
Is the fork moving back and forth when you work the clutch pedal?

I've driven one car (not mine) with crunched splines - a few crunching noises then you're permanently stuck in gear.
Busting the input shaft would be impressive.
So you can rev the engine, but there is no input from the gears and no noises.
Splines in the gearbox end?
You still got no drive? _________________ Owner's Club 33 Registrar. Now from P4 & S2 1.7 QV

If it's like the clutch is permanently disengaged then it could be that the clutch disc has broken in the centre. If the cover/ splines had collapsed the clutch would be stuck engaged.

Fitted the 1.3 sud box today, lets see how long this one lasts lol.
I will get the other sud 1.5 rebuilt hopefully with the 33 1.7 diff.
Thinking of a phantom lsd, but will see after the front end is finished _________________ x2 33 16v
