Hi,
I'm going to get my clutch replaced...
I went to the local fiat dealer and workshop to ask how much it would cost to replace it. They said it would be about 3 1/2h to 4h labour (€125)... and €200 for the clutch kit.
Does anybody know if that's a correct "timing" for the replacement?
Don't they have to remove the engine/gearbox?
all the best

Hello from Greece,
Three years ago, I changed the clutch kit at the authorised Alfa Romeo service at a cost of about €200.
The mechanic had to loosen the gearbox so as to "drag" in order to have access to the parts.
The replacement took about 3 hours.

Sounds about right for the time if they know what they are doing.
Tiny bit optimistic if they dont.
As for cost in GB a good quality replacement clutch is around £100 |

Thanks Guys
I forgot to say that the fiat dealer is also the alfa dealer and the authorised service here in Portugal. We don't have separate garages...
I think I will Also ask forr a gearbox oil replacement. They told me that the Tutela Epyx ZC80 is the gearbox oil for my car...
All the best
