Anyone knwo what the bulbs in the instrument console
on series 3 16Vs are rated at
The speedo is running a little dark!

I don't know about series 3.. but I recently removed my series 2 instrument cluster to try to work out why the tachometer needle sometimes jumps around when I'm doing about 3000rpm.
The bulbs were standard 12V 1.2W.
There was no bulb in the brake pad/fluid warning light 
I thought it might have been taken out because of a malfunctioning circuit causing the light to stay on, but when I put a bulb in it seems to work OK. |

If it is a 1.2w bulb then it is possibly a 286 - very common in switches etc, but sometimes too bright in dashboards - ok with a dimmer, though!
