I know I am to be ashamed, but the oportunity was too good. I got a 145 now, but my P4 is still parked in front of my house, my neighbour and very good friend bought it from me. So now he has something to ask but does not speak English:
Ocassionlay, withoot any obvious cause, ABS control lamp goes on and off. Any idea? It started after rather long and strong breaking.

Hi Nikola,
shame on you for not waiting for 147 4x4
I would first clean all ABS sensors.
It is easy for front, but rear ABS sensors and tooths are inside rear drive shaft tube, so to clean that sensor he will probably need to unscrew it from tube. _________________ Tino Vatavuk

I would suggest cleaning the ABS-sensors as well, but be very carefull not to break them!! If you can clean them without removing them, its preferable. The risk for breaking them when removing is very high...
Otherwise, check the plugs on the ABS-sensor leads. For instance, you can spray them with W40... _________________ Alfa 33 1.7 16v '88 QV

Thank's both.
Here's my plan Tino, if I get this new job I will give 145 to my wife and by myself a 33 again, preferably P4 or 1.7 4X4. 145 is pretty girly car but not so dull as people use to say. It can run quite fast and does well at high revs. Only the seats are to hihg (whole chasis). |

I don't know how smart is that.
145 goes a split hair faster and has much better & bigger brakes, getting back to 33, could be dangerous. _________________ Tino Vatavuk

I just like to be sitting low and feel good. I am not any more interested in very fast driving. I will look for 33 P4 '93 or '94 with A/C anyway. But they are quite rare arround here. |

Regular 33 16v sits even lower then P4 with Recaros.
There were 4 P4 here in Croatia, all 91-92, 93/94 was none.
At this point tere is probably one or 2 but without A/C. _________________ Tino Vatavuk
