I'm thinking about buying a chip for my series 3. Is it worth it and what are the down sides to chipping a car?
Thanks |

only chipping the car don't make the car faster. You feel al little more power between the 3500tpm and 4500tpm and you can make more tpm.
Look for squadra chip's, it's the cheapest good chip you can find for a 33 |

Also, the Series 3 chip is soldered in place. You may need to be careful when replacing it! |

not all the series 3 are soldered, only the newest 93 and 94 are soldered.
But check it first! |

I think that the 1351 cc IAW Marelli / Weber cars are the only ones which have soldered chips. The other models with Bosch injection systems have plug-in chips.
Correct me if I am wrong |
