I don't know, but it'd look simply superb under the bonnet of my car!
I guess it is too late for santa now - anyone got a winning lotto ticket? |

Looks to me like this engine has had some serious money spent on it, the spec looks to me to be:
Motor Type: 4 cylinder boxer
Capacity: 1593 cc
Bore: 87mm
Stroke: 67mm
Compression Ratio: 11.0:1
It has crankshaft pulley driven dry sump lubrication with custom made aluminium sump
All steel forged balanced crank, works type (from what I can make out)
45mm throttle bodies linked to electronic engine management with fuel and ignition timing control and vernier cam timing
225HP at 9,100 revs, 11,000rpm red-line
The capacity is achieved by using the 1700 standard bore with a shorter throw crank, actually slightly shorter than the 1500 engine, the 1500 block can apparently be bored to 87mm and with the standard crank gives about 1600cc.
I suspect that this engine cost well in excess of £5000 as that is probably not even the cost of the parts alone! |
